Emmy Award-winning musician and entertainer Lance Horne continues his yearlong Joe’s Pub residency April 12 at 7 PM with New Work New Work 3.
Horne will be joined by Lilli Cooper, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Amanda Palmer, Bridget Barkan, and Molly Pope.
With direction and visual art by Tony nominee Sam Buntrock (Sunday in the Park With George), the concerts—some of which feature Horne creating new songs onstage—blend stars from film, stage, and the music industry.
New Work New Work 3 features Horne’s rock side, last seen at Joe’s Pub in its early days with his band Lance Horne & The One Night Stands, which performed at the closing night of CBGBs. The band includes Mariella Haubs, Kate Davis, and Darcy Macrae.
Horne is an Emmy award-winning composer, pianist, singer, and music director who has appeared with long-time collaborator Alan Cumming, Jake Shears/Scissor Sisters, Ricki Lake, Chita Rivera, Rufus Wainwright, Liza Minnelli, Kylie Minogue, the von Trapps, Justin Bond, Cheyenne Jackson, Kelli O’Hara, and Pulitzer finalist Taylor Mac, among others. His Broadway credits include vocal arrangements for Little Women and multiple opening numbers for BC/EFA and Actors Fund.
