Leslie Odom Jr., Tony-winning co-star of the original cast of Hamilton, will take the stage at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles July 19 as part of a concert salute to jazz giants Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillespie.
Titled Ella and Dizzy: 100 Years, 1,000 Memories, the concert will feature the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, plus Odom, Jane Monheit, Vince Mendoza, Andra Day, Lizz Wright, Regina Carter, and Patrice Rushen. They will perform standards from Fitzgerald’s songbook, backed by the A Dizzy 100th Celebration All-Star Big Band: Jon Faddis, Billy Childs, Charles McPherson, Lewis Nash, Peter Washington, who will be playing from Gillespie’s original jazz charts.
Odom can next be seen on the big screen in Kenneth Branagh's upcoming film Murder on the Orient Express, out November 10.

The Hollywood Bowl booking is a major stop for Odom on a concert tour that will take him to Seattle, Atlanta, New York’s Hamptons, Washington, D.C., and elsewhere. Here are his scheduled 2017 appearances:
