Original Sweeney Todd Tony Award winner Len Cariou will return to the road with his critically-acclaimed solo show Broadway & The Bard, kicking off a nine-city concert tour on May 11 at the Annenberg Theater in Palm Springs, California.
The evening, which combines Shakespearean monologues and classic songs from Broadway, including “Something Wonderful,” “Lucky to Be Me,” “Love, I Hear,” and “Sometimes a Day Goes By,” was seen Off-Broadway in 2016.
A veteran of Sondheim’s work, Cariou’s stage credits also include Applause, A Little Night Music, Dance a Little Closer, Nightwatch, Copenhagen, The Dinner Party, and Proof, among many others.
Broadway & the Bard is directed by Barry Kleinbort and features music direction by Mark Janas.
