Sis Thee Doll will bring Sismas back to Joe's Pub this holiday season, with a performance set for December 1 at 8:30 PM.
The annual event brings some holiday magic in the form of Broadway and opera veterans alongside new, up-and-coming stars. This year's concert will feature holiday classics, new tunes, rap, and, according to press notes, "a sprinkle of brat flair." The evening will feature original music by Sis Thee Doll in collaboration with Joriah Kwamè and Siren.
The roster of performers will include Sis Thee Doll, Celia Rose Gooding, Kiaya Scott, Jasmine Amy Rogers, Cole Thompson, Elizabeth Teether, Nina White, Christine Lyons, Siren, Peachez, Jeffrey Cornelius, Emma Ashford, Aviva, Marlowe Baker, Nile Andah, and Rachel Bitchface. Swings Faith Amrapali Williams and Steven Taylor round out the company.
Sis Thee Doll and Samaria Nixon Flemming are directing, with choreography by Yasmyn Sumiyoshi, dance captains Jordan Alexander and Giulia Marolda, music direction by John Viggiano, and production management by Olivia Hardy. Gooding is producing. Alex Karukas, Asher Denburg, and Sergio Rivera have penned arrangements. The creative team also includes Nikiya Mathis, Kadijah Raquel, Pearl Cyrene, and Larry Vo.
