The new season of Trial & Error, starring Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth, will premiere with back-to-back episodes July 19 on NBC.
Chenoweth, as previously reported, succeeds fellow Tony and Emmy winner John Lithgow as the comedy’s central offbeat defendant. The Broadway favorite will play Lavinia Peck-Foster, an eccentric heiress who, once caught with her husband stuffed into a suitcase in the back of her car, calls upon attorney Josh Segal and associates.
The cast also includes Broadway favorite Krysta Rodriguez, Tony nominee Steven Boyer, Nicholas D'Agosto, Jayma Mays, and Sherri Shepherd
Chenoweth received a Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and earned additional nominations for Wicked and On the Twentieth Century. She won an Emmy for her performance on Pushing Daisies and received a nomination for her guest-starring role in Glee. She is currently attached to a musical adaptation of Death Becomes Her.
