Roundabout Theatre Company has named Kathleen Capdesuner the company's new directing fellow. In addition to assisting on Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, she will work with the theatre's artistic team as a script reader, and use Roundabout's resources to develop her own projects.
This season Capdesuner is assisting Daniel Aukin (on the currently running Apologia), James Macdonald (True West on Broadway), and Margot Bordelon (Something Clean).
Capdesuner’s directing credits include SHAME (co-creator, world premiere at Orlando and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals), The Struggle is Real (Orlando Fringe Critic’s Pick), Constellations (Fred Stone Theatre Award), and Detroit (Rollins College Theatre Memorial Award). She has also assisted Randy Johnson (A Night With Janis Joplin), Adam Immerwhar (A Christmas Carol), Patricia McGregor (Protect The Beautiful Place), and Emily Mann (Turning Off The Morning News).
Capdesuner is a first-generation Cuban-American from Kissimmee, Florida. As the McCarter Theatre Center Directing/Artistic Engagement Intern, she directed and curated the inaugural New Voices Aloud: Young Playwrights Festival.
