Tony Award-winning Hamilton director Thomas Kail has signed on to helm Silver Wings, a WWII film drama based on the Katherine Sharp Landdeck book The Women With Silver Wings, according to Deadline.

Fox 2000 is behind the picture, which will tell the true story of WWII’s Women Air Force Service Pilots, the groundbreaking women who were the first ever to fly for the U.S. military.

Kail and his production company Old 320 Sycamore will develop and produce the film along with Anonymous Content’s Michael Sugar. In August 2016, Kail also signed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox to develop, supervise, and potentially direct series for broadcast and cable television.
