As Off-Broadway's longest-running show, Perfect Crime, enters its 33rd year, the show welcomes guest stars Robert Newman and Grant Aleksander, who will both alternate in the role of Detective James. The two Emmy-nominated actors are known for their roles in the long-running television series, Guiding Light.

In Guiding Light, Newman is best known for his 28-year run as Joshua Lewis, a role which garnered him two Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Aleksander was four-time Emmy nominated for playing Phillip Spaulding from 1983–2009.
Newman, who has previously guest starred in Perfect Crime, returns to the show May 2–8 and May 24–June 16; and Aleksander will perform Detective James May 10–22 and June 17–30.
Perfect Crime, which first opened in 1987, continues performances at the Anne L. Bernstein Theater in the Theater Center near Times Square. Original cast member Catherine Russell, who has secured herself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records, is part of a cast that also includes David Butler, Dan Sharkey and Patrick Robustelli.
