Beautiful: The Carole King Musical celebrated its 2,000th performance on Broadway October 24. The Tony Award-nominated musical, currently starring Abby Mueller as Carole King, opened at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre January 12, 2014.
With a book by Tony and Academy Award nominee Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni, and choreography by Josh Prince, Beautiful features an array of songs written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. The musical was nominated for seven Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Actress in a Musical, which Jessie Mueller won.
