In honor of this year’s Elsie Fest announcement, Darren Criss took to YouTube to share his version of Les Miserables’ “I Dreamed a Dream.” The musical theatre-centric festival will be held October 8 at Summerstage in Central Park.
The festival is a celebration of music from both stage and screen; a portion of the proceeds will benefit BroadwayCares/Equity Fights AIDS. Elsie Fest was co-created and produced by Criss, Ricky Rollins, and Jordan Roth.
Performers from the past two incarnations of Elsie Fest included Laura Osnes, Leslie Odom Jr., Aaron Tveit, Tituss Burgess, Todrick Hall, Lena Hall, Jason Robert Brown, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and Cynthia Erivo. The lineup for this year will be announced at a later date.
