Two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole will host the Washington National Opera’s May 18 Gala at the Kennedy Center Opera House.
Ebersole (Grey Gardens, 42nd Street) will also perform as part of a lineup that includes Christine Goerke, Latonia Moore, and Soloman Howard. Ebersole played the role of The Old Lady in Francesca Zambello's Candide for L.A. Opera last season.
This year's gala explores the human voice through music ranging from Wagner to Gershwin to Irving Berlin. The co-chairs of the WNO Gala are Jacqueline Badger Mars and Camille Biros.
