Broadway legends Chita Rivera and Tommy Tune, who premiered their new touring concert act Chita & Tune: Just in Time last September, return to the road January 17 after a holiday hiatus. The tour is headed for stages in Florida, California, Arizona, and New Jersey.
The tour, which resumes at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota, is directed and choreographed by ten-time Tony Award nominee Graciela Daniele, with music direction by Michael Biagi (for Tune) and Michael Croiter (for Rivera), plus lighting design by Andrew Fritsch.
“I am thrilled to be joining my dear friend, the incomparable Tommy Tune, on this concert tour,” said Rivera in an earlier statement. “When we performed together in my benefit concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS in 2013, we knew then that we had something special.”
