Mike Birbiglia: The New One, a new comedy written and performed by writer, actor, and filmmaker Mike Birbiglia, officially opened at Cherry Lane Theatre August 2. The show, directed by Seth Barrish, quickly sold out its original run before extending an additional two weeks through August 26.

Birbiglia's recent shows include My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend and Thank God for Jokes, which were both filmed for Netflix. In addition to performing live, Birbiglia is an author and filmmaker who wrote, directed, and starred in the films Sleepwalk with Me and Don’t Think Twice.
