The 2019 Exponential Festival, a month-long event focused on showcasing emerging artists working in experimental performance, will kick off January 4, 2019, and continue through February 3.
Among the shows on offer are Michael + Patrick's A Doll’s House Pt. 3, previously seen at Ars Nova's Ant Fest. The piece, described as "an attack on the American New Play Development Complex for the reality TV generation," picks up where Nora left off, after she picked up where she left off, after slamming the door on her previous life in 1879. Performances will run January 11–13 at the Douglas Elliman Studio at Triskelion Arts.
Alexandra Tatarsky will perform Americana Psychobabble (or, my favorite way to die, right now, in this room), running January 23–24 at The Glove; Ikechukwu Ufomadu will take the stage at The Brick January 9–12; and Abigail Entsminger, Seth Timothy Larson, and Scott Ries will present Sexless Cocaine Saturday, about two outrageously unqualified bureaucrats who wake up after a six-day problem-solving mission filled with binge drinking, cocaine, and athletics. Performances will run January 30–February 2 at The Brick.
