Bertie Carvel will reprise his Olivier Award-winning performance as Rupert Murdoch in the Broadway production of James Graham's play Ink. Joining him as rogue editor of The Sun, Larry Lamb, will be Olivier Award winner Jonny Lee Miller (Elementary, Frankenstein).

As previously reported, the play will makes its American premiere in the spring following an acclaimed debut at The Almeida Theatre and subsequent West End transfer. The Broadway production is presented by Manhattan Theatre Club, The Almeida, and Sonia Friedman Productions, and will begin previews April 2, 2019, at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre ahead of an April 24 opening.
Ink is directed by two-time Olivier Award winner and Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold (
King Charles III,
Enron). Set in 1969 London, the play
follows a brash, young Rupert Murdoch on the verge of founding the U.K.’s most influential newspaper.
Richard Coyle starred as Larry Lamb in the West End.
