Letters Live, the celebration of written and spoken word that began in London in 2013, will debut in New York May 18–19 at the Town Hall.
Confirmed for the event is stage and screen actor Benedict Cumberbatch, best known for his performance on the BBC's Sherlock; he'll be joined by a lineup of fellow notable actors to be announced. Surprise guests will also participate in the evening.
Audiences can expect to hear readings of remarkable letters written over the centuries and from around the world. Show times are noon each day.
