Forbes has named Tony Award-winning Dear Evan Hansen star Ben Platt among its 30 Under 30 Hollywood & Entertainment Class of 2018, highlighting young breakout artists who are influencing the cultural conversation this year.
The 24-year-old actor won the Tony Award in June for his compelling performance as a high school outsider desperately searching for connection in Dear Evan Hansen, the Tony-winning hit by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Steven Levenson.
The musical has become a touchstone for an entire generation of young people who have come of age in the era of social media.
