Industry News Ballet Hispánico to Honor Miami City Ballet Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez Lopez will receive the Toda Una Vida Lifetime Achievement Award on May 6.

Ballet Hispánico will honor Miami City Ballet Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez with the Toda Una Vida Lifetime Achievement Award during its May 4 gala at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Lopez is being honored “for her career as a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, her extraordinary artistic leadership in the classical dance world, and for being a cultural ambassador for dance,” according to a release.

The Ballet Hispánico Nuestra Inspiración Award will be awarded to Dancing With the Stars “for nurturing a new generation of dance lovers, inspiring people to dance, and showcasing dance in all of its diversity.”

Cocktails begin at 6:30 PM, followed by dinner and dancing at 7:30 PM. For tickets, beginning at $1,500, visit ballethispanico.org.
