Stella Adler Studio of Acting seeks a full-time Technical Director/Master Carpenter - to begin July 29. $40,000-$44,000 salary plus benefits. Duties include: Working with designers to create and execute building plans for scenery Sourcing and purchasing materials Building all scenery for student productions and Harold Clurman Laboratory productions. Maintaining a high level of safety in the studios and work areas. Collaborating with other members of the production department and helping in all areas to ensure successful productions

HEAD CARPENTER, Connecticut Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA)
The Connecticut Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) seeks a Head Carpenter to oversee all aspects of stage operations for all events at the Shubert Theatre main stage, located in New Haven, Connecticut. This is an hourly, as-needed position covered under the IATSE Local No. 74 collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Health and pension benefits will be administered as outlined in the CBA through IATSE.

The position of Assistant Sound and Video is a hands-on position that requires leading crews, executing sound and video set up, run and strike of performances and events on a weekly basis. BAM’s Opera House and Harvey Theater stagehands are represented by IATSE Local 4. The successful Assistant Sound and Video candidate will be a strong leader with an exemplary work ethic and extensive theatrical experience in sound and video. The position of Assistant Sound and Video works closely with other stagehands, Production, and visiting companies, and excellent communication is essential.

The Head Carpenter is a hands-on position that requires leading crews and executing plans, often times from foreign companies. The bulk of the responsibility for the Head Carpenter is to lead crews during load in, set up, run and strike performances and events on a weekly basis. In addition, the position is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all carpentry and rigging equipment and systems. BAM’s Opera House stagehands are represented by IATSE Local 4. The successful Head Carpenter candidate will be a strong leader that is able to work as a member of a large team.

FLYING DIRECTOR, ZFX
Flying Directors travel from one adventure to another all over the country and around the world rigging and choreographing theatrical flying effects for Broadway, regional theatres, high school musicals, film, television, concerts and corporate events. As a Flying Director you receive training in general entertainment rigging, fly wire specific rigging, automation, and flying effects choreography.
