Josh Groban, co-star of the Broadway musical Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 missed the evening performance November 16. It was the third performance of the new musical since it opened November 14.
Groban was feeling “under the weather,” according to a production spokesperson.
Groban’s standby, Scott Stangland, went on in his place in the musical at the Imperial Theatre. Audiences were offered refunds or exchanges.
The show opened to mostly enthusiastic reviews. Groban was singled out for praise in many of them.
