Actors’ Equity Association, the union that represents over 50,000 stage actors across the country, has announced results of the 2016 National Council election.
Council seats in the principal actor category in the Eastern Region were filled. Two seats were filled by incumbents Nancy Slusser and Francis Jue, along with Nick Wyman, Camille Saviola, Jeff Blumenkrantz and Mary Gutzi. Elected to the two chorus actor seats, were Kirsten Wyatt and Rashaan James II. Incumbent Jason A. Quinn, who ran unopposed, will again serve in the stage manager category.
The categories represented include principal actor, chorus actor and stage manager. term of office for each of the Equity members elected this year is four-years.
In the Central Region, Kelley Faulkner was elected to the principal actor category.
In the Western Region Charlayne Woodard elected as a principal councillor and incumbent Kim Huber was re-elected as a chorus councillor. In the stage manager category, incumbent Pat Loeb was re-elected and John M. Galo was also elected.
