The upcoming Broadway premiere of Beetlejuice, inspired by Tim Burton’s 1988 dark comedy, is set to begin performances at the Winter Garden Theatre March 28. Taking on the title “freelance bio-exorcist” is Tony nominee Alex Brightman, with Sophia Anne Caruso starring alongside side him as teenage loner Lydia.
The musical, directed by Alex Timbers and choreographed by Connor Gallagher, features a score by Eddie Perfect and a book by Anthony King and Scott Brown.
Rounding out the principal cast are Tony nominees Kerry Butler and Rob McClure as Barbara and Adam Maitland and Leslie Kritzer and Adam Dannheisser as Lydia and Charles Deetz.
