Before they begin performances on Broadway, the cast members of Girl From the North Country stopped by the Playbill studio for an exclusive performance of "True Love Tends to Forget."
Stacey Sargeant and Andrew R. Butler swung by the Playbill studio to perform a song from Butler's sci-fi musical Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of the Future, now playing an extended run at Ars Nova. Set 250 years in the future, the musical paints a world in which humans are built in black market labs and Mars is a forced labor camp where underground outlaws are planning a rebellion.
The new musicaliscreated by Butler and directed by Jordan Fein (Singlet). Performances continue through November 10.
The actor, who played Rum Tum Tugger in the Broadway revival of Cats, gives a preview of his November 2 concert at the Strand Theatre in Marietta, Georgia.

Matt Loehr and Katie Thompson swung by the Playbill studio to perform a song from R.R.R.E.D., a new musical about a secret redheaded revolutionary organization that fights back against the extinction of redheads (in the year 2100.)
R.R.R.E.D. features music and lyrics by Thompson and a book by Adam Jackman, Thompson, and Patrick Livingston. The musical is currently playing in repertory with Neurosis at the DR2 Theatre Off-Broadway.
Andy Sandberg directs and Shea Sullivan choreographs. Performances began July 28 ahead of an August 19 opening.
Kevin Zak and Brennan Caldwell swung by the Playbill studio to perform a number from the musical comedy, Neurosis, now playing at the DR2 Theatre Off-Broadway. The new musical is about finding happiness and falling in love while dealing with that little voice inside your head.
"We couldn't be more excited for Neurosis to have its Off-Broadway premiere,” Neurosis writers Allan Rice, Ben Green and Greg Edwards told Playbill. “We just hope someone in New York will be able to relate to our story of anxiety and self-doubt.”
