The REV on Tour is one of the largest in-school tours of its kind. Annually, about 60,000 students throughout New York State receive performances and workshops from our company of professional actors. These performances and workshops are tailored and crafted to meet the specific needs at each grade level, and they happen directly in the school building. We have a long-standing tradition of excellence, and are committed to providing access to high quality theatrical experiences for every child in NYS.

The tours depart from Auburn NY daily. We provide the company vehicle for the tour, but company members must have a clean, valid driver's license to be considered for employment. Typically the performance schedule is two shows a day, Monday through Friday. Evenings and weekends are off once rehearsals have completed.

All REV on Tour company members assist with setting up and taking down the set at each performance site, as well as driving the company vehicle. Company Members also regularly lead in-classroom workshops.

Itsy Bitsy is a 45 minute, 3-person musical designed specifically for Kindergarten audiences.

About the production:Itsy-Bitsy is a gentle, funny, and heartfelt reimagining of the classic nursery rhyme The Itsy Bitsy Spider. Through puppetry, music, and movement, the story follows Philo—a young jumping spider—on his many attempts to climb the waterspout. Along the way, Philo learns about persistence, frustration, growth, and courage with encouragement from his caring Dad. The play celebrates the joy of trying, the lessons found in mistakes, and the wonder of transformation.

Roles:

Philo: Male. Small in stature but big in heart. Sings.

Dad, others: Male. Philos dad. Also small. Encouraging, but a bit overprotective. Sings.

Ant, Caterpillar, Butterfly: This role plays the other insects in the world/ creates the environment. Some of the other insects are puppets. Sings.
