DESCRIPTION

White Plains Performing Arts Center is expanding its team and seeking qualified candidates for Technical Production Managers to work alongside existing management teams and creatives.

WPPAC is a professional 400-seat proscenium regional theatre located just 40 min from NYC that delivers high-quality theatrical productions year-round. From our 3 large-scale musicals to concerts, dance shows, and other events, WPPAC is a go-to source for top-notch entertainment in Westchester. These Candidates must be able to work with professional designers/creatives from Broadway and beyond.

Qualifications:
-A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in theatrical technical direction. Bachelor's degree or Advanced Master's in Theatrical Technical Direction, and Experience working in a Regional Theater is a plus.
-Demonstrated success in leading teams and fostering a collaborative and creative environment and knowledge of current leadership practices.
-Experience in management, including project coordination, resource management, staff recruitment, meeting facilitation, budgeting, and safety compliance.
-Detailed knowledge and skill in scenic construction, welding, rigging, and soft goods.
-Ability to read and create, if needed, CAD/Vector Works scenic construction and engineering drawings.
-Computer skills: Mac/PC, AutoCAD or Vectorworks
-Knowledge of Automation SPIKE MARK, DMX, and MIDI is a plus,.
-Demonstrated success in time and personnel management (Calendars, Schedules, Production Process)
-Strong attention to detail and proactive monitoring of processes with excellent communication skills and a collaborative demeanor.
-Possess strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
-Basic lighting/sound practices
-Works well under pressure and time constraints, maintaining a calm demeanor in the face of new and unexpected challenges.
-Access to reliable transportation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
- Work closely with designated production personnel regarding the staffing and hiring of crew, and other technical staff for load-in/outs and run of show.
-Supervise and manage the build, hang, and install procedures and processes in collaboration with all technical departments. Oversee installation of scenery, rigging, soft goods, automation, and technical elements.
- Review all scenic bids with management and assist with technical drawings, as needed, and supervise the process of outside scene shops for the productions.
- Lead scenic install/strike; provide maintenance supervision during rehearsals, tech.
- Handle any work notes while productions are running
- Oversee and coordinate load-in/tech process/load-out/disposal/rentals/returns.
- Oversee and maintain theatres' tech inventory
-Oversee/Implement any technical needs for rentals, concerts or events in the space.
- Additional and related technical responsibilities not stated herein and as needed to keep the theater/production running smoothly and safely, and/or as required by the Company.

This is a full-time position with benefits and opportunity for flexible scheduling, paid medical, vacation, and 401K plan. This position can also be modified to a part-time position at pro-rated compensation.

Salary Offers $70,000+BOE, Benefits, paid vacation, 401K plan.
