Doubles multiple characters including Bonnie: Gander resident who cares for the animals and defies FAA orders in order to take care of them. Martha: A Texan on one of the planes who is worried about her son flying that day. Range: G3 to G5. Mover.

Hannah/Margie/Mickey/Others - BIPOC. 40-60. Femme presenting. Doubles multiple characters including Hannah: Desperately looking for news about her son who is an NYC Firefighter. Margie: Gander resident who dedicates herself to providing care for those stranded. Range: F3 to B4. Mover.

Janice/Britney/Flight Attendant/Others - Any ethnicity. 25 to 40. Femme presenting. Doubles multiple characters including Janice: Gander resident whose first day on the job as a TV reporter happened to be Sept, 11th, 2001. Britney: Young, anxious passenger who is grounded in gander. Diane/Crystal/Brenda/Others - Any ethnicity. 40 to 55. Femme presenting. Doubles multiple characters including Diane - Texan who was grounded in Gander and finds love (and still lives in Houston to this day!). Crystal: Gander local who works at Tim Hortons and worked to help the stranded passengers. Range: G3 to E5. Mover.

Belulah/Delores/Others - Any ethnicity. 50 to 60. Femme presenting. Doubles multiple characters including Belulah: Gander resident and head of the Gander Academy. Works tirelessly to help prep the Academy for their stranded guests. Delores: Gander resident and teacher who is compassionate and resilient. Range: G3 to G5. Mover.

Bob/Muhumuza/Captain Bristol/Others - BIPOC. 35 to 50. Masc presenting. Doubles multiple characters including: Bob: New yorker diverted to Gander who worries how he will be treated by the locals. Muhumuza: Father traveling with a young daughter stranded in Gander. Captain Bristol: Pilot grounded in Gander. Range: B2 to G4. Mover.

Nick/Doug/Officer Stephenson/Townsperson - Any ethnicity. 50 to 65. Masc presenting. Doubles multiple characters including Nick: An oil company executive from London flying to Texas who falls in love with Diane. Doug: Air traffic controller at Gander Airport who steps beyond his professional duties to help out. Range: B2 to G4. Mover.

Kevin Tuerff/Garth/Others - Any ethnicity. 30 to 45. Masc presenting. Doubles multiple characters including: Kevin T.: Los Angeles based CEO in a relationship with Kevin J. Kevin readily jumps into the Gander culture and participates with the locals. Garth: Gander resident and bus driver who is the head of the local union but puts the picket line aside to jump in and help. Range: C3 to G4. Strong Mover.

Kevin J./Ali/Dwight - Middle Eastern. 30 to 45. Masc presenting. Doubles multiple characters including: Kevin J: From Los Angeles and in a relationship with Kevin T. Is afraid of how he will be treated by the locals. Ali: Master chef for an international restaurant chain and although he is eyed with suspicion the people of Gander go out of their way to make him feel as welcome as possible. Dwight: Ganger local who jumps in to help. Range: B2 to G4. Mover.

Derm: Community leader and invites stranded passengers to his home. Eddie: Gander resident who welcome the stranded. Range: A2 to F4. Mover.

Robyn - Any ethnicity. 50 to 60. Femme presenting. A woman from the Bronx seeking a big change of life. Moves to Iowa to escape a complex past. A former entrepreneur and scam artist she is looking to find peace and quiet and prove she is able to turn her life around.

Part hard- ass, part mother hen, she makes it her business to know everything about everybody who passes through. Rumored to have buried her husband at Armadillo Acres after whacking him on the head with a frying pan, Betty is grounded, earthy, and dry-witted. Range: F3 to Db5. Mover.

Donna “Pickles” - Any ethnicity. Femme presenting. 18 to 25. Lives in Armadillo acres and is a single mother. She got her nickname from her hysterical pregnancy that turned out to be real. Pickles is airy, wide-eyed, and LOVES Santa and Christmas joy. Range: A3 to F5. Mover.

Linoleum - Any ethnicity - Femme presenting. 30 to 45. Her husband was on death row and is now a widow. She is full of fire, spit, and vinegar and spent her youth touring with rock bands of the 80’s. Range: F3 to E5. Mover.

Darlene Seward - Any ethnicity. Femme presenting 28 to 38. Darlene is a year-round “Scrooge.” She hates everybody and everything all the time and isn’t afraid to show it. But underneath her hard exterior is a wounded girl who once believed in true love and Christmas magic. Range: F3 to G5. Mover.

Rufus Jeter - Any ethnicity. Masc presenting. 25 to 35. A country boy with a heart of gold. Well-liked around the trailer park, he spends most of his downtime fashioning “art” out of found objects. Rufus can see artistic and good potential in everyone. Range: C3 to G4. Mover.

Jackson “Jackie” Boudreux - Any ethnicity. 40 to 55. Jackie is a selfmade man and an all- American success story. He took a simple idea and turned it into a thriving local chain. Unapologetically capitalistic, Jackie doesn’t discriminate — money is money. Range: A2 to F4. Mover.

Camae (Carrie Mae) - African descent or African American. 30 to 45. Femme presenting. Mysterious, flirtatious, outspoken maid working at the Lorraine Hotel. An angel sent by God to guide Dr. King on his final journey. Challenges and shares vulnerabilities with King.

She has lost her parents in a terrible storm and the gods of the island decide to keep her alive and test her heart and loyalty as a young adult. Full of energy, hope, intelligence, and love. Daniel/Ensemble - BIPOC. 20 to 28. Masc presenting. Born into wealth and betrothed to marry someone of his class, Daniel struggles with his love for Ti Moune whom he falls in love with as she nurses him back to life after a car accident on the island. Margaret Leavitt - Any ethnicity. 25 to 35. Femme presenting. Sister to Henrietta. Sweet, creative, homebody. Traditional, family-oriented, and creative. Musically talented. Piano playing a plus but not required.

Peter Shaw - Any ethnicity. 25 to 39. Masc presenting. Assistant to head astronomer at Harvard. Nervous yet intelligent scientist. Bumbling, earnest, supportive of Henrietta’s work.

Annie Canon - Any ethnicity. 38 to 49. Femme presenting. Fiery, witty, unstoppable woman whose work is still used today for star classification based on temperature. A mentor to Henrietta. Based on the real life Annie.

Willamina Flemming - Any ethnicity. 35 to 49. Femme presenting. A Scottish force of nature who went from being an immigrant housemaid abandoned by her husband to making incredible scientific discoveries . The first woman to be a part of Pickering’s (Head Astronomer at Harvard’s) team. Supportive of Henrietta’s work. Sassy and smart.
