The Majestic Theater (West Springfield, MA) is seeking Local/Non-Union Actors for the role of HANNAH & OTHERS in their upcoming production of COME FROM AWAY, directed by Russell Garrett.DATES:
Rehearsals: March 23, 2026 - April 15, 2026
Performances: April 16, 2026 - June 7, 2026 (Wednesday-Sunday)
CONTRACT:
$250/week. Transportation and housing not provided.
BREAKDOWN:
HANNAH & OTHERS: Female presenting. Age: 40 to 60. Vocal Range: G3-E5. African-American. Hannah is the mother of a firefighter in Manhattan and waits for news about her son. Quietly powerful; an emotional anchor of the story. Doubles as Margie and Mickey, both Newfoundlanders. Experience with dialects and singing harmonies a plus.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
COME FROM AWAY is a joyful, fast-paced, and emotional Tony Award-winning musical that tells the true story of the passengers from 38 planes who found themselves grounded far from home in Gander, Newfoundland on September 11, 2001, and the people of Gander who welcomed them with open arms.
COME FROM AWAY is a physically active show where actors play multiple characters (and use multiple dialects), assist in reconfiguring the stage elements, and rarely leave stage. Because of the ensemble nature of this show and the intricacies of it's staging, we cannot accommodate any conflicts during the rehearsal period. Role will be understudied.
