DESCRIPTION

SCHMIGADOON! Broadway is seeking candidates for a fellowship on the Company Management team and strongly encourages individuals from all backgrounds to apply.

No prior commercial theater experience is required for this apprenticeship. Relevant experience from other fields, not-for-profits, or from an educational setting, is welcomed - and a love of the theater is encouraged!

Program Start Date: On or about Monday, February 23, 2026

Program End Date: On or about Sunday, August 23, 2026 (with possible extension)

Compensation: $1,100.00 per week

Time Commitment: Full time, approximately 40 hours per week, exact hours vary as there may be weekend and evening commitments.

The Company Management Fellow will work closely with SCHMIGADOON!’s management team to receive hands-on practical work experience in an office environment, engaging in tasks such as, but not limited to:

· Coordinating house seat orders and ticketing requests

· Supporting hospitality efforts and travel/housing coordination during pre-production, rehearsals, and performances.

· Providing on-site assistance at the rehearsal studio and theatre.

· Participating in team meetings, offering input and taking notes.

· Managing communications with vendors, artists, etc. as needed.

· Assisting in the drafting and filing of various agreements with respective unions

· Any additional administrative tasks as assigned by the General and Company Managers


ADDITIONAL JOB CONTEXT - COMPANY MANAGEMENT FELLOW:

General managers interface, communicate, and work with all departments on a daily basis in order to support and streamline the processes.

Company managers are responsible for the show’s finances, payroll, and personnel management. The company manager reports directly to the producer/general managers and represents the company in all decisions.

Company managers are at the theatre before every show and work closely with stage management and all departments on all aspects of the show.

· An affinity for numbers and budgets

· Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace

· Written and verbal communication skills

· Customer service mindset

· Stellar time management/prioritization skills

· Familiarity with NYC and comfort running errands in a fast-paced urban environment.

· A thorough understanding of the management structure of a commercial theater production

· Knowledge of how a Broadway tech process operates

· A familiarity with how to read, interpret, and manage a show budget

· Basic QuickBooks skills

· Strong foundation in the Nederlander ticketing system Nliven

· A general overview of the theatrical unions & union rules

· Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
