Program Manager (Full Time)
BROADWAY SERVES is a New York City based service organization and affiliate program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Our mission is to connect theater professionals to volunteer opportunities, locally, nationally, and abroad. We are committed to providing a platform for theater makers to “be the change beyond the stage” by engaging in activities that directly impact the needs of our most vulnerable communities. By partnering with organizations whose missions align with ours, as well as developing socially responsible original programming, we create a bridge between the theater industry and the community at large to address issues of accessibility to basic human rights.
About this Career Opportunity
Broadway Serves seeks a dynamic and self-motivated professional with experience in and/or a passion for both the non-profit and theater industries. This person will be responsible for managing daily operations of the organization, so strong organizational and time-management skills are required. In addition, this candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills which will be needed to engage with long-standing service partners, as well as fielding new relationships with potential partner organizations. It is also our hope that this person will serve as a thought partner to the Founding Directors to help them with the continued evolution of Broadway Serves. This hybrid position reports to the two Founding Directors and has potential for upward growth.
Job Title: Program Manager
Qualifications:
- Degree in or comparable experience working with nonprofit organizations
- Experience working with Google Suite (vital) and Mac software (a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
- Availability to work some nights and weekends
- Impeccable organizational and time-management skills
- Must have experience creating social media content and engaging with social media platforms (primarily Instagram)
- Experience with digital design via Canva
- Connections to NYC service organizations a plus
- Inside knowledge of or experience in the New York City theatrical community and professional theater industry practices
- Experience with fundraising a plus
Duties:
- Lead, strategize and implement growth in outreach and programs
- Manage and run daily operations
- Field questions and respond to emails
- Maintain and update the Broadway Serves website
- Develop strategies and create campaigns to engage supporters, volunteers, and prospective participants via social media platforms and other media (i.e. flyers)
- Maintain database and spearhead outreach using the VolunteerHub platform
- Lead regularly scheduled New York City-based service activities and larger Broadway Serves events
- Recruit, vet and coordinate with potential service partners and develop volunteer programming
- Mail and distribute t-shirts to our volunteers
- Maintain programming budget
- Perform other relevant duties as needed for the operation and growth of Broadway Serves
Additional Notes:
- Must be fingerprinted and complete a sexual harassment training
- There may be additional training that is necessary in accordance with the policies of some of our partner organizations.
- This is a hybrid position with both remote and in-person work responsibilities.

Salary and Benefits:
- Starting salary at $60,000 annually
- The fiscal sponsor for Broadway Serves is Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Inc. As such, this position would be an employee of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS with supervision by Broadway Serves.
