Franklin Performing Arts Company is an Equity small professional theater dedicated to nurturing emerging artists and bridging the gap between training and the professional stage. We are seeking a part-time Fundraiser to help advance our development goals and strengthen the company’s financial foundation. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, motivated, strategic thinker with experience in nonprofit fundraising and a passion for promoting the arts. Working closely with the Executive/Artistic Director, the Fundraiser will grow established fundraising initiatives that include individual giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, and special events.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan aligned with the theater’s mission and growth goals.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
• Find grant opportunities and write grant proposals to arts councils, foundations, and private funders.
• Assist in planning and promoting established fundraising events.
• Maintain accurate donor records and oversee acknowledgment communications.
• Collaborate with leadership and marketing staff to create compelling fundraising materials and campaigns.
• Provide regular progress reports and recommendations for improving fundraising strategies.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in fundraising for a nonprofit or arts organization, with a range of solicitation levels from $250 to $10,000+.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and donor messaging.
• Ability to develop prospect lists, make calls, set appointments, and cultivate new donors and sponsors.
• Knowledge of the performing arts landscape is a plus.
• Organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, comfortable managing multiple projects, and able to work independently.
• Familiarity with donor databases or CRM tools preferred.
• Enthusiasm for theater, mentorship, and building artistic communities.

Ability to travel independently in the New England region.
Schedule & Compensation
This is a part-time, flexible position (approximately 10-15 hours per week). Occasional evenings or weekends are required for performances and events. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
