DESCRIPTION
Open Jar Studios is the largest rehearsal studios in New York City, home to rehearsals, auditions, classes and support offices for theatre, dance, and film productions of all sizes. Our 22 column-free rehearsal studios overlook Times Square across two full floors located in the heart of the Theater District on the corner of Broadway and 48th Street.
Description:
We are looking for a reliable Handyperson/Cleaner to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at the interior of company premises. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs. You must be well-organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and physical stamina are valued greatly in this job, as well as deft hands and technical knowledge.
The shift times can range from 6pm-6am. Must be able and willing to work late nights and weekends.

Responsibilities
● Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting, trash removal, supply stocking, sanitize
● Perform maintenance and light repairs
● Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, etc.)
● Repair equipment or appliances
● Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
● Identify and report the need for major repairs
● Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
● Complete general building cleaning and maintenance.
● Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility.
Requirements
• Consistent late night availability, with some day shifts available on occasion
• Excellent cleaning skills - Must possess a clear understanding of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environment
• Previous experience working with cleaning products and hand tools
• Detail oriented and thorough
• Ability to take direction well
• Friendly, personable & must have a great attitude
• Excellent organizational skills
• Dependable and reliable
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to kneel, bend, reach, climb and stand for long durations of time
• Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 30lbs

$20/hour
