Mister Snickers of New York City follows a gay man’s alcohol-soaked attempt at building a chosen family, centering around his best friend, his dog, Mister Snickers, and the spiritual journey he finds himself on as a result. Breakdown
MISTER SNICKERS OF NEW YORK CITY
SEEKING:
OLIVIA OLIVIER (female presenting, plays 40’s) effervescent, queer icon / Broadway diva with a killer voice, think a Buddhist version of Eden Espinosa or Natlie Joy Johnson. Deeply loyal, resilient, and sensitive, she is committed to her Buddhist practice, while navigating a more inexplicable connection to the spiritual realm.
RICK BOWMAN (male presenting, plays early 30’s to mid-40’s) a cosmopolitan gay who loves sailing, designer clothes, and fine art. A victim of body dysmorphia and queer materialistic consumerism, he knows what he wants, and hates admitting when he is wrong, especially to himself. He’s grandma’s little boy who deserves the best and knows it. He’s a good person, deep down, sharing glimpses of compassion when convenient.
