BREAKDOWN

I'M CONNECTICUT

SEEKING:

Marc – male, Jewish, 25-35, born and raised in CT. The central theme of the play is that Connecticut is boring, and Marc reflects this. Not particularly attractive, but not unattractive, Marc has great comic timing and the ability to engage an audience and win them over.

Kind and generous, she has an upbeat personality and also a great sense of humor. Able to sing (just a little!)

Judith/Polly – female, over 60. The character of Judith appears briefly in a flashback. She is Marc’s Jewish grandmother at the end of her life – feisty and funny. Polly is Diane’s mother, also from Georgia – feisty and funny! Able to sing (just a little!)

Manager – male, 35-45. Fast talking New Yorker, cynical and hard-edged but with a vulnerable side and a sense of humor. Able to sing (just a little!)
