DESCRIPTION

On Behalf of the General Managers, TT Partners, Aurora Productions is currently seeking a Head Carpenter for the National Touring production of OPERATION MINCEMEAT. The Head Carpenter supervises the load-in, load-out, and operation of all technical aspects of the production. Operation Mincemeat will be a 4 truck tour with a same day load in.

Responsibilities include:

· Planning, loading in and teching a brand new touring musical alongside the Production Carpenter.

· Advancing the tour including ground plan and storage layout in the theatre as well as anticipating any idiosyncrasies or challenges a venue may present for any department.

· Scheduling all road crew labor for load-ins, load-outs, maintenance, rehearsals, and show calls throughout the run of the tour.

· Schedule all trucking with the show’s trucking company, updating and maintaining show’s truck packs, as well as supervising the loading and unloading of the show’s trucks.

· Supervise installation, operation, and disassembly of all technical elements of the production in coordination with other department heads.

· Supervise and coordinate (with CM, SM or PM) all maintenance required for the show, including scheduling all work calls, ordering parts and hardware needed for both repairs and regular upkeep of the show.

· Other duties as assigned by General Management, Company Management or Production Manager.

Qualifications:
·
Minimum 5 years touring experience with a Broadway musical or play as a Carpenter or Department Head
· Minimum 3 Hears as a Department Head
· Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat preferred.
· Team player with strong communication skills
· Work in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge of Automation systems a plus
· IATSE Member

Salaries:

Head- $2,000/week

Assistant- $1,800/week
