DESCRIPTION

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Harry Potter™: A Hogwarts Express Adventure is a new, hour-long live show inspired by the films by Warner Bros. The show includes scripted scenes, live singing, dancing, puppetry, illusions, and a great deal of audience interaction There are 3-5 rides per show day with shows running up to 5 days a week. All performances take place aboard a real, moving train from the Southern California Railway Museum in Perris, CA. Rehearses in Southern California (exact venue TBA).

PREPARATION
ALL: Bring a hard copy of your headshot and resume

ACTORS/SINGERS: Prepare a short memorized comedic monologue that shows your personality (approx. 1m or less). SINGERS - Please ALSO prepare a short cut (16-32 bars) of an up-tempo song to be sung a cappella

PUPPETEERS: Prepare a short movement piece (approx. 1m) that showcases both strength and fluidity. Use of a puppet in your movement piece is welcome but not required.

PAY RATE
$22.50/hr

PAY RATE NOTE: This role is paid on an hourly basis, including overtime for weeks exceeding 40 hours. Presuming a fully realized performance season (no unexpected cancellations or Acts of God), and if actors work the entirety of their assigned schedule, actors will typically work approximately 30-40 hours per week. Please note this is not a guarantee of total wages. This role is paid hourly for actual hours worked.

PRODUCTION DATES
Rehearsals: 06/08/26 - 06/26/26

Tech/Dress/Previews: 07/02/26 - 07/23/26

Performances: 07/24/26 - 09/27/26

NOTE: Actors will not work every day of the run. Actors will be divided into 3 casts (Red, Green, and Blue Casts) and will work on a rotation schedule with 2 casts working per show day. Although actors do not work every day of the run, we are seeking actors with full availability.

SEEKING
[HOUSE HOSTS] All genders and ethnicities, to play 20-30; Actors/singers. Some movement required. Role also includes improvised audience interaction. Youthful and highly personable, Hosts guide our passengers along their journey. They each exemplify one of the four Hogwarts Houses. Hosts are the heart of the story- their journey mirrors that of the passengers.

[GUARD] Male-identifying actor, all ethnicities, to play 30-45. Strong acting and comedy skills required. Some singing and minimal movement required. The quirky and loveable Guard guides the passengers along their adventure, facilitating magical moments and teaching valuable lessons.

[TROLLEY ATTENDANT] All genders and ethnicities, to play 35-45; Strong acting required. Some singing and minimal movement required. This colorful character celebrates all things magical candy while also making sure that the journey stays on track.

[PUPPETEER] All genders and ethnicities; experienced puppeteers or strong movers with interest in learning puppetry; Puppeteer brings an iconic and spine-chilling Hogwarts Express moment to life. Puppet requires physical exertion that will be repeated multiple times a day.
