Overview
The Lighting Design Group, (LDG) www.ldg.com, an internationally recognized broadcast and entertainment lighting design firm in New York City. LDG is a leader in its industry and values its direct relationships among its designers, production team and freelance crew. We leverage this to provide the best broadcast lighting design and installation services for top broadcast networks worldwide.

LDG is seeking experienced Freelance Lighting Technicians to join our team on a project-by-project basis. Accepted applicants will be added to our call list for future projects.

Reports to:
Gaffer / Project Manager

Requirements:

· Experience as an Electrician/Technician in the broadcast/theatrical/entertainment industry.

· A professional’s knowledge of television studio and television remote lighting and film style grip practices and equipment.

· Must have a strong working familiarity with entertainment and broadcast LED lighting fixtures, including:

• ETC

• Litepanels

• Arri

• Chauvet

• Must have a working knowledge of entertainment electrical practices and standards.

• Must understand DMX signal flow and electricity.

• Must be able and willing to carry 20kg up stairs and/or a ladder.

· • Strong work ethic; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; outstanding team player.

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience operating ETC control consoles preferred.

· Familiarity with Vectorworks and Lightwright a plus.

Rate may vary based on project in the range of $30-$50/hr and is eligible for overtime, with prior approval of manager.

SALARY

$30.00 – $50.00 per hour
