The Actors Studio of New Jersey & The Sieminski Theater presents ‘Finishing the Hat, The Music of Sondheim’ , a spectacular celebration of the legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. This unforgettable production pays homage to Sondheim’s unparalleled contributions to musical theater, showcasing iconic songs from his acclaimed shows such as ‘Company,’ ‘Into the Woods,’ ‘Merrily We Roll Along,’ ‘Sweeney Todd,’ ‘Follies’, ‘A Little Night Music’, ‘Sunday in the Park..’, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum’, and many more.

The Actors Studio of New Jersey is committed to assembling a diverse company for this production of Jagged Little Pill and strongly encourages performers of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, body types, and abilities to submit. Our goal is to build an ensemble that reflects the richness and complexity of the world of the show and the communities we serve, and we welcome artists whose lived experiences can deepen and expand the storytelling on our stage.

PREPARATION
Please submit a headshot, résumé, and/or performance reel to [email protected] with the subject line: LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_SONDHEIM. Vocal submissions should feature a traditional musical theatre selection. Sondheim material is strongly encouraged. The submission deadline is March 14th 2026 with virtual callbacks to follow. Rehearsals will begin the week of March 30th in Central Jersey.

OTHER DATES
First Rehearsal: Saturday, April 4th 2026.
Performances: Saturday, April 18th at 7:30pm and Sunday, April 19th at 2:30pm.
Performances will take place at the Seiminski Theater located in Basking Ridge.
