DESCRIPTION

Goodera is seeking an Event Host to support and lead our corporate volunteering activities. You will play a key role in providing an exceptional experience for our clients by facilitating engaging volunteering events for corporate employees. Be a part of a global community of 1000+ hosts from around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the flow of events, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.
  • Engage and motivate diverse groups of volunteers, promoting enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the event.
  • Utilize exceptional public speaking and communication skills to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Adapt to shifting dynamics during events, while maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Engage with corporate volunteers to enhance collaboration and participation during the volunteer experience.
  • Lead pre-event setup, ensuring all logistical details are thoroughly arranged.
  • Measure event success through participant feedback and engagement levels, making adjustments for future events

Required and Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in event management or a related field.
  • Strong public speaking, communication, and event coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a flair for engagement and networking.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle various situations on the fly.
  • Time management skills and attention to detail are critical.
  • Creative thinking to develop innovative approaches for event hosting.
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant roles preferred.

Technical & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (event materials, supplies)
  • Ability to stand for 2–4 hours at a time
  • Reliable transportation to event venues within your city
  • Comfortable helping set up and reset event spaces (tables, chairs, materials, etc.)
