ANNIE - (10-12) A tough, streetwise orphan who is nevertheless vulnerable when she thinks she might lose what has become most important to her: a newfound “family” who loves her. She is friendly and caring. Must be a strong actor with strong vocal and musical skill. Vocal range: A3-G5.

MISS HANNIGAN – (35-45) The “has-been” orphanage matron who hates children but is fond of liquor. Very disillusioned, bitter, and cold. Strong comedic timing required. Vocal range: B3-G5

OLIVER WARBUCKS – (40-55) a successful businessman with a warm heart. Rich, stiff-collared, bullish. Vocal range: B3-Gb5

GRACE FARRELL – (26-35) Faithful secretary to Mr. Oliver Warbucks. Poised, sweet, and gentle. She is all business when dealing with Miss Hannigan and Warbucks but takes a maternal approach to Annie. Vocal range: Bb3-G5

ROOSTER HANNIGAN – (25-35) Miss Hannigan’s no-good brother looking for a quick buck. A sleazy, slick con man. Vocal range: B3-G5

LILY – (25-35) Rooster’s girlfriend who is also out for a quick buck. She is easily distracted. She is never the leader, always bringing up the rear while tripping over her own feet metaphorically speaking. Vocal range: B3-G5

FDR – (40-60) – The 32nd President of the United States. A Democrat and friend of Warbucks. Vocal Range: Eb3-F4

MOLLY, PEPPER, DUFFY, JULY, TESSIE, KATE - (6-13) The other orphans in Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. These girls are gritty, neglected, and vulnerable, yet honest and loveable.
