POSITION: Customer Experience Manager – Food and Beverage

LOCATION: New York, NY

HOURS: Full Time

COMPENSATION: $60,000-$70,000

ABOUT THE POSITION

Major venue owner-operator is seeking a Customer Experience (Food and Beverage) Manager with a love for stage shows and live events.

Our Customer Experience Manager enthusiastically leads a diverse team of front-of-house Food and Beverage staff within their venue. They are responsible for the day-to-day of all food and beverage operations within the venue. Including, setting up the venue for daily service, overseeing the food service staff and responding to the customer needs during and after the run of a show. They also hire, train, and supervise all areas of the food and beverage team, including the bar leads, bartenders, servers, hosts, purchasers etc. and reports to the General Manager. Additional roles and responsibilities include overseeing inventory and purchasing processes, maintaining budget, and managing all food and beverage sales. The Customer Experience Manager continuously evaluates and improves the venue's food and beverage operations while overseeing menu selection, promotional partnerships as well as VIP patron experiences and events.

You will be joining a high-energy, detail focused team that plays a central role in keeping their assigned venue and the attractions playing there running safely and smoothly. You will work inside a collaborative, respectful, and driven company that's focused on providing the best experience for theatregoers and theatre-makers on Broadway.

PEOPLE, PLACES, and THINGS

· Experience as a front of house food service supervisor required

· Experience with Microsoft Office required

· Experience working in a fast paced and high demand work environment preferred

· Experience working with VIP clientele preferred

· Working knowledge of food and sanitation standards

· Ability to walk up and down flights of stairs and stand for the duration of a shift

· Ability to lift/carry up to 30lbs

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

· You are able to demonstrate success in managing diverse teams.

· You are able to demonstrate success in managing a restaurant or food and beverage operation

· You are highly organized and diligent, have attention to detail and follow through.

· You are a strong and effective communicator and can clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing. Bilingual is a plus.

· You are versed in health and safety standards.

· You are able to track multiple projects simultaneously.

· You are a great communicator and collaborator, and care deeply about delivering the best possible experiences and results for the production, your team members, patrons, and the company at large.

· You are flexible and respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations.

· You are able to effectively deal with colleagues and team members, which will sometimes require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.

COMPETENCIES

· Experience as a food service supervisor in a cocktail bar environment at an entertainment venue

· TIPS and Serve Safe Manager preferred

· NYC food protection certificate required; certification may be obtained prior to first day of employment

· Bilingual is a plus
