The Company Manager is a key member of the operations team and serves as a central point of communication and support for visiting artists across BTG’s summer season.

This role is best suited to a candidate with prior company management experience who can work independently, problem-solve quickly, and support artists with discretion and calm in a fast-paced seasonal environment.

Dates: April 6, 2026 – August 30, 2026 (dates are flexible based on applicants)
Possible Extension: through October 31, 2026
Compensation: $1,000–$1,200/week (commensurate with experience)
Housing: Housing and utilities provided

Prepare, distribute, and maintain company contracts and documentation

Maintain professional communication with union representatives as needed (AEA, SDC, USA)

Maintain records and administrative files, including receipts, company information, and medical forms

Coordinate artist travel logistics for contract start/end dates and provide frequent daily transportation support throughout the season

Manage company and rental housing logistics, including assignments and communication with landlords/property managers

Oversee company vehicles and rentals, including maintenance scheduling, fueling coordination, and cleanliness

Support company health and safety needs, including assisting artists with access to medical care and scheduling appointments

Maintain inventory of first aid supplies and PPE, ensuring appropriate distribution to departments

Create and maintain daily/weekly company management schedules and calendars

Attend weekly staff meetings and production/maintenance meetings

Support BTG hospitality events including meet-and-greets, opening night parties, and staff gatherings

Process receipts and reimbursements, and track company management budgets in collaboration with the Managing Director and Finance Manager

Work collaboratively with administrative and production department leadership to support an efficient and positive season experience

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive)

Prior experience in theatre operations and arts management (Company Management, Stage Management, General Management, Production, etc.)

Valid U.S. driver’s license and comfort driving frequently as part of daily duties

Calm, organized, and responsive approach to a fast-paced environment

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with artists, staff, and partners

Preferred (but not required):

Experience working in a seasonal/festival setting

Familiarity with union environments and best practices for professional artist support

Work Style + Expectations

Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion regarding company, theatre, and personal matters

Demonstrate excellent organization and ability to prioritize multiple active projects

Provide clear, respectful communication across departments and with all company members

Collaborate as part of a team and represent BTG appropriately at all times

Demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging through both communication and practice
