Rehearsals: April 12th - 30th

Performances: May 1st-2nd, 2026 and May 8th-9th, 2026

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: March 17th, at 11:59pm

Why: To support, inspire and nurture new works that prompt audiences to think critically about existing social and cultural narratives.

We’re casting for roles in the 2026 Illuminating New Voices Festival! Please only submit if you are available April 12th – 30th and can commit 10–15 hours for rehearsals within that timeframe, in addition to performance dates (minimum of two days, ideally once each weekend).

The Illuminating New Voices Festival celebrates emerging playwrights and highlights a selection of new plays as well as musicals for the stage.

Actors are invited to submit their reels for consideration. After reviewing submissions, we’ll send sides for self-tapes auditions to those in consideration.

Video Submission Requirements:

Please submit an acting reel showcasing your range. If you would like to be considered for a role in a musical, please submit your vocal/performance reel.

All rehearsals and performances are held at Vanguard Theater, conveniently located just a 30-minute train ride from NYC to Bay Street station in Montclair, NJ. From there, it's just a two-minute walk to the theater.
