Jay Armstrong Johnson’s I Put a Spell On You is seeking three (3) Associate Producers to join the team.
Over the past few years, IPASOY has grown significantly in scale, complexity, and reach. To support that growth in a more sustainable and collaborative way, we plan to bring on three Associate Producers, each aligned with a specific focus area we have already been developing.
What is I Put a Spell On You (IPASOY)? I Put a Spell On You is an annual Halloween benefit concert bringing together Broadway, theatre, and music artists for a high-energy, one-night-only event in support of the Ali Forney Center, a New York City–based nonprofit dedicated to protecting LGBTQ+ youth from the harms of homelessness. The Ali Forney Center provides emergency and transitional housing, medical and mental health care, job readiness programming, and supportive services to help young people thrive independently and safely.
Associate Producer – Production & Operations Oversees logistics including rehearsal and performance spaces, schedules, run of show, load-in and load-out, and on-site production flow.
Associate Producer – People, Artists & Volunteers Supports artist coordination, hospitality, volunteer management, front-of-house communication, and the overall care of everyone involved in the event.
Associate Producer – Marketing, Partnerships, & Sponsorships Focuses on outreach, sponsorship coordination, donor relationships, marketing timelines, press needs, and external communications.
These roles are designed to be hands-on, collaborative, and developmental, offering real ownership and visibility within a large-scale benefit event. Associate Producers will work closely with the lead producers and department heads throughout the full production timeline.
As with all IPASOY positions, these roles are fully volunteer-based. Everyone involved donates their time and talent in support of the Ali Forney Center, and we are deeply grateful for that generosity.
