Peterborough Players is a 93-year-old summer stock theatre in Peterborough, New Hampshire. The Players
operate on a CORST (zz) contract producing a five-play summer season in 13 weeks (two weeks
rehearsal, two weeks performance.)
Mission: Peterborough Players enriches the human experience by producing quality live professional theatre,
developing and training theatre artists, and offering New Hampshire a wide variety of performing arts events.
The 2026 season will include four plays and one musical. All production departments have professional leadership and work with a group of Core Company younger artists with varying skill levels. Housing provided.
Assistant Production Manager position description:
The position of Assistant Production Manager assists and supports the activities of the production department in
fostering communication with all departments. This may include work in shops areas when the production
office is fully caught up with responsibilities. Shop work will be determined by skills and interests.
Responsibilities:
Daily activities: Producing and posting daily schedule after the Production Manager reviews it this may include
hard copies in multiple areas as well as in the production drive. Assist in the coordination of regular production
meetings. Create and disseminate meeting minutes to the production team as necessary.
Assist in supervising staff with purchasing powers. Collect receipts from each production department at weekly
meetings. Post receipts and inform the Production Manager of where each department is at as far as budget.
Inform department heads of their remaining budget with a hard copy.
Regularly review rehearsal/performance and performance reports and assist Production Manager in
coordination of and the execution of scenic, prop, costume notes in a timely and efficient manner, possibly
lending hand.
Weekly Activities: Assist with the planning and supervising show changeovers (split the 24hrs between closing
of matinee to start of tech with the Production Manager)
Update contact sheets for all productions. Collect timely and accurate production staff and company information
to the Director of Marketing, including, but not limited to: Name, Title, Bio, etc.
