Charleston Stage, South Carolina's largest professional theatre, casting for our S49 Resident Actor Program, an intensive 11-month program that allows non-equity participants to combine multiple performance opportunities with a well-structured and practical teacher training program. Charleston Stage is in residence at the Historic Dock Street Theatre and presents a Main Stage series of six full productions and a Family Series of two to three productions each season. In addition, our CityStage program and other educational outreach programs provide opportunities for artists to engage with the community through theatre performance and education.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Contract Length: 11 Month Contract:
Salary/Benefits: $450 weekly + Furnished apartment with utilities provided (including internet), community pool and fitness center access; 10-day paid holiday vacation, free dance classes at a local studio.
Resident Actors are given one guaranteed role upon hiring, with the remainder given after you arrive on your contract. You are guaranteed five shows but often perform in more.
CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA
You must be available for the entire contract period. We do not job in, so please do not submit if you are unavailable for the entire contract. Must have a reliable car Must have a degree in theatre, music, or something related.
Please note: We are looking for (1) Bass/Baritone, (1) Lyric Soprano, (1) Mezzo-Soprano, (2) Tenors, (1) Baritenor. Given the season, we are looking for classically trained voices. Please do not submit contemporary or pop-rock, we will not watch it. The role of Jo March is not available.

The entire package should be 2-3 minutes maximum. NO CONTEMPORARY OR POP/ROCK. Please put all videos, headshots, and resumes into a Google Drive folder and change the settings to "Anyone on the internet with a link can view." We will only accept links. You may provide additional reels or website information in the form. Fill out the Virtual Submission Form, where there is a place to copy your audition package link.
