In advanced of performances for Fiddler on the Roof Off-Broadway, the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene celebrated the show’s move to Stage 42 with a blessing from the musical's Der Rov, cast member Adam B. Shapiro. The production, directed by Joel Grey, is set to begin performances February 11 prior to a February 21 opening.
The Yiddish-language production of the classic musical previously played an extended and acclaimed run at the Museum of Jewish Heritage. Steven Skybell, Jackie Hoffman, and Jennifer Babiak return to the show, reprising their roles as Tvye, Yente, and Golde respectively.

Shapiro as Der Rov, Jodi Snyder as Frume-Sore, James Monroe Števko as Mendl, Lauren Jeanne Thomas as Der Fiddler, Bobby Underwood as Der Gradavoy, and Rachel Zatcoff as Tsaytl, as well as Michael Einav, Abby Goldfarb, John Giesige, Moshe Lobel, and Jonathan Quigley.
Joining the cast are Samantha Hahn as Beylke, Evan Mayer as Sasha, Mikhl Yashinsky as Nokhum/Mordkhe, and ensemble memer Kayleen Seidl, who all bowed with the production when it first opened in the summer of 2018 and are now returning.
Fiddler on the Roof, from producers Hal Luftig and Jana Robbins in association with Sandy Block, features musical staging and new choreography by Staś Kmieć, musical direction by Zalmen Mlotek, set design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Ann Hould-Ward, sound design by Dan Moses Schreier, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski, wig and hair design by Tom Watson, and props by Addison Heeren.
