News Weston Playhouse Summer Season to Include VT Premiere of Hairspray The Weston Playhouse's 71st season this summer will include the Vermont premiere of Hairspray along with A Number, Master Harold…and the Boys, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) and The King and I.

On the mainstage, Hairspray, directed by Schele Williams, runs Aug. 2-25. Master Harold…and the Boys, directed by Hal Brooks — who directed the New York productions of No Child… and Thom Pain (based on nothing) — runs Aug. 30–Sept. 15.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) directed by Malcolm Ewen, will run June 26-July 7. The King and I, directed by Tim Fort, runs July 12-28.

Caryl Churchill's A Number, directed by Steve Stettler, runs on the theatre's Other Stages venue July 25–Aug. 19.

Adventures from Ezra Jack Keats, a show for kids adapted by Winnie Holzman (book of Wicked), David Evans and Davidson Lloyda, will go up June 20-July 8, directed by Thomas J. Cox, at the Other Stages venue.
