With a Tony-nominated book by Bell and music and lyrics by Bowen, the meta-musical about what it takes to actually write a Broadway musical premiered Off-Broadway at The Vineyard Theatre in 2006 before transferring to Broadway. The original production was directed and choreographed by Tony nominee Michael Berresse.
