CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Cordenbegan broadcasting from across the pond June 6. In the wake of recent terrorist attacks, Corden decided to temporarily host the show from his home country to show his support. The June 6, 7, and 8 episodes are taking place in England.
The Tony winner and 2016 Tony Awards host included his “Crosswalk: The Musical” segment in the first of the episodes.

Having become wildly popular in Los Angeles, Corden uses a company of actors to put on abridged versions of musicals in the crosswalks of L.A. streets. Now migrating to London, Corden appropriately staged Mary Poppins, including numbers like “Spoonful of Sugar,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “Steppin’ Time,” and “Fly a Kite.”
Corden played the titular role and welcomed special guest, Oscar winner Ben Kingsley, to play Bert.
Wicked, injecting a new backstory onto the classic tale The Wizard of Oz, debuted on Broadway in 2003 and continues to be an audience favorite at the Gershwin Theatre.
