The company of Broadway’s Oklahoma! hit the Today Show plaza July 30.
Tony Award winner Ali Stroker, who plays Ado Annie, as well Damon Daunno, the production's Tony-nominated Curly, talked about life after their show won the Tony for Best Revival of a Musical—and after Stroker’s personal win.
“The audiences are different in that everyone is so excited and so supportive of the work,” she said. “This has just been a dream come true for me, and I get to work with the best actors in the world every single night.”
Stroker then launched into a performance of her “I Cain’t Say No” followed by Daunno leading the cast in the title number.
Oklahoma! plays at the Circle in the Square Theatre. The cast also includes Rebecca Naomi Jones as Laurey Williams, Mary Testa as Aunt Eller, James Davis as Will Parker, Patrick Vaill as Jud Fry, Will Brill as Ali Hakim, Mallory Portnoy as Gertie Cummings, Anthony Cason as Cord Elam, Will Mann as Mike, Mitch Tebo as Andrew Carnes, and Gabrielle Hamilton as the lead dancer. The production is set to run through January 19, 2020.
